SUMMARY:Veterans Community Roundtable on Health and Wellness
DESCRIPTION:The Nevada Department of Veterans Services (NDVS) invites local veterans\, military families\, and community partners to attend a Veterans Community Roundtable on Wednesday\, October 22\, 2025\, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Chief Tecopa Cemetery\, 751 East Street\, Pahrump. The roundtable provides a unique opportunity for Pahrump-area veterans and their families to connect directly with NDVS healthcare professionals and Veteran Service Officers (VSOs). The discussion will focus on improving veterans' health and access to care\, particularly in rural communities. Topics will include suicide prevention and awareness\, support for veterans recovering from opioid addiction\, and transportation resources for non-emergency medical appointments. NDVS representatives will also share information on how veterans can access earned benefits and assistance through the Department's VA accredited Veterans Service Officers. "Every veteran has earned access to quality care and the support they need to live healthy\, meaningful lives\," said NDVS Director Mary Devine. "These roundtables bring us face-to-face with veterans in their own communities\, so we can listen\, learn\, and work together to make sure no veteran is left behind." The event is free and open to all veterans\, military members\, and community members who support them.
